Summary of the grading process:

  1. Log in.
  2. Select the term and class to be graded.
  3. Click one of the following:
    · Enter final grades, ALL STUDENTS,
    · Enter final grades, DEGREE CANDIDATES ONLY,
    · Enter midsemester grades,
  4. A list of students eligible to receive a grade (which may not be all students in the class) appears.
  5. Enter grades and click Submit. Don't let more than 20 minutes pass before clicking Submit or your session will expire. As you go, check the Message column for feedback and make corrections as necessary.

  2. Choose the term you want to grade and click Select:

  4. Choose the course to be graded and click Select:

  5. Click one of the following: Each of these can be performed only during certain days of the term. If grading is not allowed, you will receive the error message "Grading not available for requested term."

  6. Choose the course to be graded and click Select. (Yes, this is redundant with step 4.)

  7. A list of students eligible to receive a grade (which may not be all students in the class) appears.
    The Enter Grade column contains a box into which you type the grade.
    The Grade on Record column shows the grade currently assigned, which is probably blank when you begin.
    The Message column will give you feedback after you post grades by clicking Submit.

  8. You may assign a grade to a student by typing it into the student's Enter Grade box. Grades can be entered in lowercase or uppercase. Grades are not officially posted until you click the Submit button at the bottom of the screen. Don't let more than about 20 minutes pass between the appearance of the grade screen and clicking Submit; if the class is large, grade some, click Submit, grade some more, click Submit, etc.

  9. After you click Submit, the Message column will give you feedback:

  10. To correct a grade, re-type it (or type an asterisk to delete it) and click Submit.

  12. When you're finished, you can print the page for your files.
